Mr Lovely himself.
He's not quite finished, but my art teacher says that I need to 'stop trying to resolve everything'. So he can sit for a bit. For those unfortunate few who don't know him, he's a composer. He is Estonian. He is a beautiful. His music is sublime.
The concept is to do a set of three, at first all of him which would be quite nice, but I don't where I'd put them. And that'd just be 'lotion in the bucket' obsessive. Instead I'm going to do the set of three as dudes who I like. I'm juggling Lawrence Ferlinghetti, William Carlos Williams or Roger McGough, and Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

ReplyDeleteThis is my favourite. I love the colour blends in the background.I also love how you have captured the raggedness of his beard and hair - it's quite realistic. Oh how I envy you. I came back from my visit last year inspired by you, and determined to go to an art class (actually doing something for myself, how disturbing), but I failed miserably.
